As an Atlanta favorite, The Battery was as busy as you’d expect on a Friday night. What made August 8th stand out though, was that Xdinary Heroes were performing their sold-out show at the Coca-Cola Roxy. You could see hundreds of fans lined up outside the doors waiting with anticipation to get into the venue. Xdinary Heroes is a six-member boy band under JYP Entertainment. You may have seen them in hit music videos like Happy Death Day or Freaking Bad, but today they were finally making their first appearance in Atlanta and they made sure to start the show off strong. As the lights dimmed, a VCR began to play on the screen. Shortly after, the members took the stage to perform Beautiful Life. It's hard not to show a little bias when they really couldn't have chosen a more perfect song to showcase them as artists and kick off the night.
Throughout the show the six of them each demonstrated their insane talents as they performed one song after another — including fan favorites like Diamond, Good Enough, and Xymphony. The crowd didn't hesitate for a moment to match this energy til the very end. It even caught me a little off guard to hear the crowds voices fill the venue as much as it did. Since they are a Korean rock band there is a language barrier between a lot of the fans and the band themselves, however that night you never would have guessed. You could feel the unspoken bond between the band and their fans.
For the end of the concert the members did a quick change into their tour merch to showcase a few final songs before taking their bows. The saddest part of a concert is when it comes to an end. Luckily for us, Xdinary Heroes made sure to let us know this wouldn't be their last performance in Atlanta. So if you're new to the group, now's your time to take another listen because you will not want to miss when they stop by next.
